"Saunders Lewis" twist to campaign slogan

Last Sunday's blog about Dafydd Iwan preferring Dafydd Wigley as Plaid's candidate for Arfon drew a number of reactions - the idea clearly upsets some of my Plaid blogging colleagues.

However amongst the comments you will see 'Saunders Lewis' has stepped forward to suggest that the slogan needs some fine tuning :

"Vote Eaglestone and get Wigley too.

Two for the price of one.
A real bargain"

I must keep working at this campaign, and more suggestions would be welcome.

Please keep , them clean - robust is fine and democratic, but I don't want to have to moderate.

Sounds to me as if "Saunder Lewis" & Martin Eaglestone might just about be one & the same person.

No, not my game.

I'm just too upfront to play such games. Which means there are at least 2 people working on improving the marketing campaign - you must have a suggestion for me as well !!

Ac i bod yn dwy iaethog, beth am

X i Eaglestone yn llaw i Wigley ?

Perhaps, but the idea of a blogger who's never blogged is a novel one.

It's as if he's opened an account with the sole purpose of supporting you. I've never come across him elsewhere

PS - I really wouldn't entertain the idea of giving the Welsh slogan too much of an airing. 'Hand' as in 'help' doesn't translate into Welsh. It suggests something else altogether.

Drat !- as Dick Dasterdley would say. Half my time I am damned for not being bilingual enough, and then when daring to venture forth I get tripped up by inadequate grammatical constructions, and use of the the wrong phrases. (although given my typing that is true in my English positings as well !).

Let us hope saunders re appears with more words of wisdom for the nation.

I now here that on Ynys Mon Plaid Cymru people have decided they want Dafydd Wigley in Cardiff after May 3.

So they will vote for Roach and then Plaid in second vote.

Bye bye, inept windbag I Wyn Jones.

If your suggestion that Plaid must lose one of its three hopeful seats of Ynys Mon, Arfon or Aberconwy in order to ensure Wigley’s election, surely it would make more sense for Wigley fans to vote tactically in Aberconwy and get Dylan Evans-Jones and Wigley, rather than to do so in Arfon. Nothing personal against you Martin, just a thought that losing Arfon might be perceived as more of a disaster for Plaid than not gaining Aberconwy.

I supose if people don't like Plaid, but do like Mr Wigley then they can vote to remove IWJ, elect Labour in Arfon and a none Plaid person in Aberconwy (I obviously feel it should be Denise) and then Mr Wigley comes in to play.

Oh the joys of PR !
