Sensible

The Chief and his Deputy have taken the sensible decision to apologise to Ian Lucas MP. The episode filmed for tv (Derek and Clive as I called it) did their roles no good, and was a nonsense they can do without given some of the ways they choose to challenge us on other issues.

When I was a kid Tell the truth and shame the Devil was a motto used to keep me on the straight and narrow.

How can we expect to have an honest and good society, when public servants, such as the Chief Constable are constantly chastised and forced to apologise for stating the open and honest truth by the likes of you, for nothing, other than partisan gain?

I feel you jump to a conclusion too soon. I do not rush to condemn Brunstrom, but I do feel elements of the tv programme were unwise. The "rant" and the talk about parachuting are not things a Chief Constable should have allowed to happen.

My post made it clear it distracts from other matters on which he chooses to challenge public debate.
